Tapping Points (Meridian Channels)

While EFT or tapping can address a range of complex emotional challenges, the basic protocol is quite straightforward and surprisingly, easy to learn.

1. Side of your Hand.

2. Inside your Eyebrow.

3. Side of your Eyes.

4. Under your Eyes.

5. Under your Nose.

6. Under your Mouth.

7. Collarbone.

8. Under your Arm (3.5 inches under your armpit)

9. Top of your Head. 

Why do we Tap on Those Points? 

When we tap on those 9 Tapping Points (Meridian Channels, from Chinese Medical System) while we focus on a problem or specific issue, we send a calming signal to the amygdala, letting our Nervous System know that even though we are seeing something as a threat, we are safe… Of course, if you need to run because a bear is chasing you, that is a threat! and you need to take action right away! 

The Amygdala (the word comes from the Greek for “almond”) is one of the components of the Limbic System, or midbrain, and is the source of emotions and long - term memory, and it’s where negative experiences are stored!

The Amygdala has also been called the body’s smoke detector. “Oh! Something is threatening our safety.” This sends a signal to the brain and the Fight-Flight-Freeze response is activated! When this part of our brain is activated, we can't think, analize and plan what would be the right direction to take, instead, we are 'reacting' . 

An early negative experience can program the amygdala to raise the alarm when something similar triggers in the present time... And many times, we are NOT even aware of this! 

If we take that early negative experience and we tap on that memory, we send a calming signal to the brain letting it know that there are other options, and maybe even there are no threats/no dangers. 

When to Tap? 

Tapping is an EFFECTIVE TOOL that is used in the treatment of:

  • Stress 

  • Anxiety

  • Physical Pain

  • Weight Loss

  • Cravings

  • Addictions

  • Grief

  • Phobias

  • Fears

  • Anger - Frustration

  • PTSD

  • Trauma

  • Limiting Beliefs

  • Procrastination

It can be used for just about ANYTHING!
